Things to do . . .

MarinStock II is seeking dozens of volunteers for a variety of positions pre-event, during the event, and post-event.

Our volunteers come together to support Marin's residents, raise much needed funds, and help host the Bay Area's only fundraiser to help save homes from foreclosure. Participants enjoy top name entertainers, art, great food, and a wonderful day in Novato's lovely Hamilton Ampitheatre.

Volunteers receive Free Festival Admission to the event, a MarinStock T-shirt, and heart-felt thanks from all the people helped by your generosity throughout the year.

Festival volunteers are needed in all areas including Vendor Relations, Garbage Committee, Beverage Sales, The MarinStock Store, Transportation, Security, and more.

Through MarinStock, Marin Family Action makes a dramatic impact on Marin's homeowners by stablizing them in their homes. MarinStock is owned and managed by Marin Family Action, a non-profit organization.

How does MarinStock and Marin Family Action support our community?
Proceeds from this event are used to provide advice and legal assistance to families facing foreclosure. Proceeds from our first MarinStock in 2009 have helped several families remain in their homes. Our Home Save Group grown to more than 100 individuals and families and includes a few members from the East Bay and Napa County.

Why does MarinStock need volunteers?
With any event, especially a non-profit fundraising event, there is always plenty of work to be done.  We need volunteer help and support to make MarinStock run like clockwork and to keep expenses down so that the community benefits from all of our efforts.

Who is a typical volunteer?
The perfect volunteer is a person just like you.  In their everyday lives, volunteers are contractors, painters, lawyers, students, homemakers, doctors, musicians, nurses, retired artists . . . absolutely anyone who knows how to have a good time while giving back to their community.

What do volunteers need to know?
It's simple. Arrive on time ready for a day of fun. After a brief orientation you will be assigned tasks throughout the day. You meet other volunteers, and have the pleasure of seeing an event staged from start to finish . . . and KNOW that you made a difference in someone's life during the day by your willingness to help your neighbors in need!

What benefits does a volunteer receive?
While you do not get paid as a volunteer, you will meet fine, caring people, you will receive a commemorative MarinStock II T-shirt, lunch, beverages, and admission to MarinStock II.
